What About Alternative Treatments Like TCM?
As mentioned above, some studies have indicated that TCM can lower FSH and improve fertility. Here are the links again because my best recommendation is to spend some time on these websites and explore their philosophies and recommendations: Randine Lewis and the Berkley Center for Reproductive Wellness
In a previous version of this website, I included a summary of some of the components of the TCM approach, but I have to simply suggest that you peruse their websites because they have expanded their content and can explain the approach much better than I can.
It is important to note that TCM is not an overnight solution. TCM takes time and patience in order to be effective. Different TCM practitioners – even those within the same discipline – often have different viewpoints about the details of a TCM diagnosis and treatment plan. The key is to find a practitioner – ideally one who specializes in infertility – who can work with you.
If you decide that you would like to pursue TCM, then you need to find a practitioner. Before you start, here is a great document from Resolve that lists some key questions to ask a practitioner. And a few practitioners are listed below:
Note: The list below was compiled from discussion on the support board. The author makes no guarantees about the services provided by these practitioners and stands to gain nothing from referring patients to their practices. The purpose of including this list on this site is to assist patients in their quest to find alternative practitioners who are said to have some experience in working with clients with infertility.
